What are the XT variants?
The XT versions (M-Series XT, A-Series XT, E-Series XT) add Roll-N-Lock's MaxTrak T-Slot rail system to the cover. Two T-Slot channels run along the top of the cover, compatible with most Yakima, Thule, and Rhino Rack accessories — crossbars, bike mounts, kayak carriers, rooftop tent mounts. You get the same retractable cover plus a built-in cargo platform.
Does the Roll-N-Lock lock my tailgate?
Yes. Roll-N-Lock's patented tailgate extrusion locks the tailgate shut whenever the cover is closed. One key locks both the cover and the tailgate, so anything inside the bed is secured behind a hard aluminum shell and a locked tailgate.
Are Roll-N-Lock covers waterproof?
Water-resistant rather than fully waterproof — the same answer applies to every retractable tonneau on the market. Roll-N-Lock covers use patented sealed hinges between slats plus integrated drain tubes that route water out of the bed. For rain, snow, and car washes, cargo stays dry. The twist-lock has a built-in key slot cover that blocks ice and water from freezing the cylinder.
How do you install a Roll-N-Lock cover?
Every Roll-N-Lock uses a no-drill clamp-on mounting system. Rails clamp directly to the bed rails and the canister sits against the bulkhead. The Cargo Manager is a bed cargo divider — not a tonneau cover. It mounts into the Roll-N-Lock bed rail track system and slides along the rails to keep gear from shifting while you drive. It locks every 3 inches, flips up for loading, and rotates 90 degrees for oversized cargo. The Cargo Manager only works on trucks that already have a Roll-N-Lock cover installed.
