How To Measure Your Truck Bed

  1. Close your tailgate — make sure it's fully latched.
  2. Grab a tape measure and place it at the inside face of the bulkhead (the front wall of the bed closest to your cab).
  3. Run the tape along the bed floor straight back to the inside of the closed tailgate.
  4. That number is your inside bed length — the measurement that matters for fitment.

Measure along the floor, not along the top of the bed rails. Rail measurements can throw off your number by a few inches.

COMMON BED SIZES

Most trucks fall into one of three categories. Keep in mind that exact lengths can vary by year, make, and model.

Short Bed 5'5" – 5'8"
Standard Bed 6'4" – 6'7"
Long Bed 8'0" – 8'2"

If your measurement falls between sizes or doesn't match what you expected, don't sweat it — that's more common than you'd think. Use the livechat button in the bottom left of your screen and we'll help you out.
